Volume: 50ml

What does it do: Hydrate and brighten the skin.

Made in: South Korea

Who should it suit?:

All Skin Types (made for sensitive skins) and dehydrated skins.

Also people with angry, inflamed / irritated skin.

This is not made to fix acne skins – the tea tree serum is more suited to this.

Packaging: The tip of the dropper is curved which actually make dispensation somewhat easier for me. It dispenses a good amount of he serum out. It’s a glass bottle.

Directions:

Apply 2-3 drops onto clean skin. Pat until fully absorbed. Can be used morning and night.

How I use it:

I apply morning and night. I don’t usually feel the need to layer. I apply after toning and let it sink in for a bit. Then all I need is a moisturiser. This is thicker than water serums so apply those first.

Texture:

Liquid (lighter than the Hada Labo Lotion) very very light. Plumps up my skin after dabbing in. Does not have a sticky residue. This is thinner in my opinion than the By Wishtrend Propolis ampoule.

Slides down your hand relatively quickly. Very light.
After rubbing in – the skin looks dewy. It retains this shine some time after.

Good under makeup?:

Yes. This was fine for me.

Key Ingredients: 70% Propolis extract to nourish and calm the skin. 12% Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract (to brighten the skin). Honey Extract, Beta Glucan and Niacinamide as well as Centella asiatica and Hyaluronic Acid – all help in reducing inflammation and increase hydration and brightening.

Full Ingredients list: Propolis Extract, Hippophae Rhmnoides Fruit Extract, Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Methylprpanediol, Niancinamide, Dipropylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexaanediol, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Sodium Hyaluronate, Betaine, Glycosyl Trehalose, Honey Extract, Beta-Glucan, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Allantoin, Carbomer, Arginine, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Adenosine, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Pentylene Glycol, Citrus Auranitum Eergamia Fruit Oil, Centella Asiatica Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Ficus Carica Fruit Extract, Mours Alba Fruit Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Nut Extract, Caprylyl Glycol

Fragrance: None.

The Good:

  • Hydrates
  • Large volume
  • No fragrance
  • Product comes out in adequate amounts (don’t spend ages squeezing to get the serum out)
  • Reduces inflammation / Angry skin
  • Made for sensitive skin

Bad Points:

  • Didn’t brighten my skin tone extensively
  • Not enough for very dry or very dehydrated skin

Conclusion: This is very similar in terms of texture and effect to the tea tree serum. It really depends on whether you prefer the idea of propolis of tea tree. I like both and I would use both equally. I do think the tea tree is more directed at oily acneic skins whereas this serum is directed for those who want to brighten their skin. So it depends on what you want.

Overall score: 4/5
